Feel free to ignore this advice, but I've generally found it's generally not a good idea to play the enemy's game.

Forming up multiple 250-person fleets and outnumbering the enemy sufficiently so they form up on a Titan and then, seeing your numbers, blueball you is exactly the style of warfare that makes enemies like Space Monkeys dangerous to space- or moon-holding entities.

For those of you who keep score at home, the CFC just took some of the recently-lost moons back.

Mr Varesk and his friends formed up on a Titan and declined to engage. There is some room for debate as to whether they tried to or not, but the actual fighting was mostly some minor bombing with unimportant losses on both sides.

In short, it was all fun and games, and then BL. reinforced a tech moon.

I just want to know when SMA is going to be reset for losing all of its Tech moons? Because it will happen with out CFC help.

So here's the story as I've heard it.

One of our guys noticed a Jump Freighter cyno in off a mining POS in VG-. The JF started unanchoring modules and we thought that perhaps, just perhaps, this nerd was going to be stupid enough to get caught. We formed a gang and awaited the opportunity.

He finished unanchoring and logged the JF off inside the POS - but warped a Manticore in and started unanchoring the tower. We waited to see if the JF would come back, but no, a Viator from a different corp decloaks and relaunches the tower, starting the online process. Despairing that perhaps we were not to get a JF kill that night after all, we became curious just exactly what they were mining as the moon was listed as Tungsten.

We probed it and found out it was an unlisted Tech moon. The guys immediately formed a large bomber torp team plus a few supers to stop it getting onlined in time. Gentlemen's Agreement vigilantly tried to defend the tower alone, whelping two gangs to our bombers before finally calling for CFC help, claiming that they had caps trapped in the tower as the excuse.

A friend of a friend in GSF convo'd one of our FCs to ask what was up and why we were hitting a Tungsten moon, and boy was he in for a surprise when he found out Gents had a Tech moon on the sly, which they had claimed was just a staging tower.

The story goes that a complete rescanning of all GENTS moons was done and 5 more sly techs were found, all confiscated now.

We claimed we wanted good fights? What?

We expected good fights because of IRC's history of defense, but that is certainly not why we started this. If we started this just for the fights then we wouldn't have asked for CFC support in HB-.

No, it was all about hurting IRC. The goal was never to take the space, or to kill IRC outright, but it was a very ambiguous endgame of making IRC smaller and less able to annoy us while we were deployed.

We took a couple systems, saw a couple corps and a not-small amount of regular members leaving and backed off for the holidays and to see what would happen....then IRC just kept falling apart. Welp.

BL wanted a fight with the CFC. Now they got a fight with the CFC.

Everyone wins.

Oh, and "even fight" did get a bit of a chuckle out of me, so I'll grant you a +0.125 for that.

2 years ago the leet PVP'rs in 0.0 was making daily smug remarks about hi-sec and how care-bears was such losers and couldn't kill as much as a rat etc...
Today hi-sec care-bears holds almost all the sov in your precious 0.0 and the "leet's" are scattered around in empire-pockets (where they are safe) like bugs on a windshield.

Now that's a punchline!

Don't mess with Snot Shot. He's EVE-famous! Which, I'm to understand, is a Pretty Big Thing for a few thousand people in Reykjavik for a few days out of the year.

Heck, just walk up to some random person at Fanfest and say "yeah, so, I'm totes BFFs with Snot Shot" and apparently you'll have your own posse for the rest of the event. Of course, this all assumes that aforementioned random person knows what CAOD is, or even cares. So in all, probably a 3% success rate.
